Job Description:
The Department of Medicine at the Stanford University School of
Medicine is recruiting a Division Chief of Primary Care and
Population Health for an academic appointment as Clinical Associate
or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator Line or as
Associate or Professor of Medicine in the University Medical Line
at Stanford University School of Medicine. The Chief is expected to
lead the research, clinical and educational activities of the
Division. We are seeking a candidate who combines proven leadership
skills with an outstanding record of academic accomplishment;
dedication to excellence in the clinical, research and educational
missions; an understanding of the complexity of academic medicine;
and the creative vision to expand and maintain a premier Division
of Primary Care and Population Health. Established and emerging
leaders in the field are highly encouraged to apply. Candidates
should be accomplished physicians with a national/ international
reputation in clinical or translational investigation and/or
administration. Candidates should hold a MD or MD/PhD degrees or
equivalent, and be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family
Medicine. Candidates will need to possess or be willing to obtain a
California Medical License. The Chief will be expected to recruit
additional faculty to support clinical research, and to expand the
