Title: Manufacturing Scale-Up Lead - CMO Pay: $140,000 - $190,000
(Equity participation available) Location: Remote with periodic
travel. What You Will Be Doing Lead the scale-up of proprietary
chemical or biochemical processes from lab/pilot to commercial
production at external manufacturing partners. Own tech transfer by
developing SOPs, batch records, and control strategies for contract
manufacturing sites. Select, onboard, and manage multiple CMOs; act
as the primary technical and operational lead during first-of-kind
and early commercial runs. Troubleshoot scale-up challenges
(mass/heat transfer, yield loss, variability) and ensure product
delivery meets cost, quality, and timeline targets. Drive
cross-functional project management across R&D, quality, supply
chain, and regulatory teams. What You Will Need For This Job Proven
track record of successfully transitioning multiple technologies to
commercial scale at contract manufacturers. 10 years of experience
in chemical or biochemical process scale-up and manufacturing
execution. Advanced degree (PhD/MS) in Chemical Engineering,
Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline. Strong fundamentals
in reaction engineering, separations, and mass/heat transfer.
Ability to lead under uncertainty with resourcefulness and a
