Undergrad Intern Summer 2026 What You Will Do Lets do this. Lets
change the world. The use of Biomarkers and Diagnostics is central
to understanding how our therapeutics work and identifying patients
that benefit most from these therapies. Accordingly, the Center for
Technology and Innovation (CfTI) function within Precision Medicine
plays a critical role in advancing our drug development programs
and is accountable for the development of biomarker and diagnostics
strategy across our pipeline. The Translational Pathology and
Computational Imaging groups within CfTI are responsible for
implementing the biomarker and diagnostics strategy. The summer
intern will work within the Translational Pathology and
Computational Imaging groups to implement image analysis algorithms
on whole slide scans of tumor tissue for biomarker
characterization. Questions addressed will include pharmacodynamic
effect of treatment, mechanism of action, and mechanisms of
resistance. In this role, the intern will deliver quality data
utilizing novel technologies including the following: High-order
multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) to define spatial association of
immune subsets and tumor cells in tumor biopsies. Spatial
transcriptomics to determine the biological status of cells based
on their transcriptional signature. Novel approaches to combine the
technologies above on a single tissue section. Responsibility 6

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad
internship at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or
older Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelors Degree program
from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or
equivalent Completion of one year of study from an accredited
college or university prior to the internship commencing Enrolled
in a full-time Bachelors degree program following the potential
internship with an accredited college or university Must not be
employed at the time the internship starts Student must be located
in the United States for the duration of the internship Preferred
Qualifications Degree concentration in Biological Sciences Working
knowledge of basic histology preferred but not required Knowledge
of immunohistochemistry techniques Some programming experience in
modern data science languages (R/Python/Julia/similar) is preferred
but not required Experience with image analysis is preferred but

opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 - $28.30 per hour Build a network
