This role supports a diverse patient population and requires experience across multiple lab disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, blood bank, microbiology, and urinalysis. Local candidates are accepted, and first-time travelers are welcome. Responsibilities Perform moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing Conduct specimen accessioning, preparation, processing, and analysis Review quality control and ensure accuracy of test results Perform blood bank testing including crossmatching and antibody screening Conduct hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis testing Identify organisms and perform culture setup and interpretation Maintain compliance with safety, quality assurance, and infection control standards Accurately report and document test results using laboratory systems Requirements Active California Clinical Lab Scientist license (required at submission) ASCP-MLS certification preferred Minimum 1 year of recent Clinical Lab Scientist experience Experience in hospital-based clinical laboratory settings Strong knowledge of laboratory quality control and safety procedures Facility Highlights Acute Care Hospital Approximately 200 staffed beds Epic charting system Free parking • Medical & Health Insurance Benefits from First Day for All Clinical and Patient-Facing Employees. • 401K Plan. •"Your Way is Paid" – we pay for ALL employment requirements, onboarding, physicals, titers, etc. • $300 - $1000 referral bonus.
