Description The -North America Technology, Media and Telecom
Payments Team -is a strategic sales and relationship management
focused group that is responsible for owning and managing
relationships with large technology companies located in North
America. The team works to effectively deliver the firm's Payments
products (treasury services, merchant services, liquidity, working
capital & trade, commercial card, transactional FX, escrow, etc.)
to our client base. About the role: We are looking for a -Vice
President (VP) Payments Sales Manager -to join our North America
Technology, Media and Telecom team. This individual contributor
-will be part of our Marketplaces & Digital Ecosystems (MDE)
industry subvertical and will report jointly to the two co-heads of
the group. The successful candidate will play a critical role in
helping to manage and grow the Payments relationships with large
MDE clients. Specifically, this individual -will be part of the
relationship team covering two of our largest MDE clients. They
will partner with the industry co-heads, Executive Directors and
Associates on the team to support and co-lead proactive client
engagement, collaborate with multiple internal partners, and
develop solutions to meet strategic and complex needs of our
corporate clients. They will also support key programs such as
marketplace creation, corporate treasury, interest rate management,
escalated servicing and implementation issues, etc. As such, the
role involves working with Merchant Services, Working Capital &
Trade, Treasury Services Sales, Corporate Bankers, the Investment
Bank and other Product Teams to ensure the appropriate coordination
and growth of the defined segments. This individual will be
responsible for annual deal and revenue goals. Key
Responsibilities:
- Support and grow Payments relationships with existing and new
clients in the MDE subvertical
- Act as second chair on two megacap MDE relationships,
supporting the industry co-head and Executive Directors that cover
each relationship
- Act as first chair on a few prospect, new-to-bank
relationships
- Understand MDE clients' business goals, environments,
strategies, and industry trends to better determine their
requirements and identify potential new business opportunities for
J.P. Morgan Payments via appropriate solution(s); traditional cash
management, trade, International, liquidity and commercial
card.
- Manage client visitation and contact; promoting sales through
frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products,
market and industry developments.
- Manage proposal writing and the entire sales process including
competitive RFIs/RFPs and proactive bids.
- Develop and manage the pipeline of opportunities, and meeting
annual sales revenue targets.
- Understand the competitions' capabilities and gaps, and how to
position J.P. Morgan Payments
- Work closely with the client coverage team to drive efforts to
expand existing business with current clients, providing feedback
to product managers and generating cross-sell opportunities by
maintaining strong working relationships with other J.P. Morgan
lines of business.
- Provide compelling financial and market analysis to support
proposals for new business.
- Maximize profitability with clients through the appropriate
pricing of new business wins, product extensions, and cross-selling
other JPM products.
- Manage pipeline and forecasts effectively, highlighting key
deals and also any risks to achieving annual targets.
- Share client feedback with Product teams and help drive new
product development.
- Responsible for addressing business issues such as risk, legal
and compliance and managing resolution. Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a financial services sales role focused on
providing payments services.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deepen senior client
relationships.
- Deep knowledge of payments ecosystem covering transaction
banking, merchant acquiring and working capital
- Ability to develop creative solutions to optimize working
capital levels across the organization
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships with key
internal partners - sales, product management, client service, GCB,
IB and implementation
- Must have strong leadership, presentation and communication
skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration,
Finance, or a related field
- Experience working with technology, software-as-a-service,
semiconductor, fintech or marketplace companies preferred but not
required
