The Team You'll Work With

Carta Total Comp is a platform for private companies to manage total compensation for their most valuable stakeholders: employees. We have been thought leaders in compensation for years, starting with our Better Offer Letters . As our customers' needs expand and the market for talent becomes more competitive, we are turning our best practices into products. Today, companies use Carta Total Comp to compare their salary and equity packages to real-time market compensation rates, based on the world's largest equity compensation data set (Carta). In the near future, Total Comp will be used to manage most aspects of employee compensation. This is an emerging team whose mission is to scale this business exponentially within the startup ecosystem, becoming the fastest growing business Carta has.

We're looking for a Director of Sales to lead this organization. As a Director of Sales for CTC, you will play a pivotal role in building and leading our sales org and strategy across all our business lines and report directly into the CRO. Successful candidates will have built out Sales teams, bring best practices, managed teams, and implement new ideas to align with Carta's diverse range of product offerings. You will work closely with sales leadership and marketing to drive a unified sales strategy.

The Problems You'll Solve

  • Develop strategy aligned with defined KPIs to hit and exceed quarterly & annual revenue goals.
  • Develop and lead a team of Account Executives while fostering a culture of strong performance
  • Attract, train and retrain additional top performers as needed to support growth objectives
  • Work closely with the Sales leadership team to identify and resolve obstacles, share strategies and learnings, and ensure continued success
  • Provide market feedback to other internal teams to drive product/service innovation and key value propositions
  • Participate and lead in prospect meetings with Total Rewards, Benefits and C-Suite executives
  • Reinforce inputs and activity metrics that enable reps to successfully hit and exceed quota
  • Strategize with sales and marketing counterparts on pipeline and prospecting initiatives to meet company goals
  • Partner with recruiting to continually build a bench of strong talent for the org
  • Work cross-functionally with sales enablement to develop, implement and refine new hire onboarding and improve ramp time
    About You
    • 10+ years hiring and managing high performing sales teams
    • Proven track record of exceeding goals as an individual contributor and manager
    • Experience successfully managing teams that work in high volume sales cycles
    • Excellent communication, teamwork and people management skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
    • Embrace a growth mind-set and appreciate looking at problems from different perspectives
    • Proficient working with and marketing automation platforms
