The Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI) group at J.P. Morgan focuses on companies with annual revenue of $20 million to $500 million, municipalities, and not-for-profit entities requiring traditional banking services (lending and cash management) as well as investment banking products (including debt and equity capital markets, risk management derivatives, and corporate finance advisory). How we're organized
MMBSI is organized into five regional groups (Northeast, Midwest, South, Southeast and West) and a variety of industry segments, including, but not limited to, Agribusiness, Life Sciences, Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Not-for-profit and Technology.
Summer analysts supporting our regional groups will work with MMBSI Bankers and Product Partners (including Credit, Asset-Based Lending, Treasury Services and International Banking) who cover a variety of industries to provide a range of financing solutions and strategic advisory.
Summer analysts supporting our industry groups will work with MMBSI Bankers and Product Partners (Credit, Asset-Based Lending, Treasury Services and Investment Banking coverage) to provide industry-specific expertise, solutions and advisory.
What to expect
Our Summer Analyst Program will provide you with an introduction to client management, credit structuring and product sales and allow you to develop the necessary skillset to become a successful full-time analyst. The 10-week program will begin with three days of orientation and training, giving you key practical and business knowledge you'll use throughout the summer.
You will also have the opportunity to hear from and network with senior leaders and spend time with peers from programs across the bank at philanthropic and group events.
You'll make an impact by:
- Working on financial models to support financing transactionsAssisting in the completion of credit approval memos
- Preparing marketing materials for use in client meetings covering topics such as financing alternatives, working capital optimization and industry analysis
- Developing an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and service offerings
Upon successful completion of the internship program, you may receive an offer of full-time employment.
