You are able to remain composed during stressful & emotional situations while remaining motivated, trustworthy, and team-oriented.--You' re looking for an opportunity to utilize your full skill-set while simultaneously learning new & advanced techniques.You are committed to outstanding client service, exceptional patient care, and really want to make a difference!--Bring your determination to succeed, and we'll provide you with the appropriate environment.------Basic Required Qualifications:High school diploma1+ years--of clinical experience--as an RVT or 3 years of experience for Senior Vet AssistantsStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriateConsistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculationsMaintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)--Some duties you will own:Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessaryEvaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessmentPartner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concernsProvide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patientsAssist--DVM with patient assessment, treatment and proceduresProvide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patientsInduce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation proceduresPerform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing--Perks:--Up to $8,000 hiring bonus for new, full-time hires!Shift differentials also available! $3/hour swing shift, $5 overnight shift--Work Schedule:Full-Time4/10 scheduleOvernightsCompensation Range:RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 hourSVA: $25.00 - $36.00Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position.
