Job Summary
The Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Global Medicine at
Zuckerberg San Francisco General, a high impact, exciting program
at a major teaching hospital of the University of California, San
Francisco (UCSF), is recruiting an Executive Analyst.
This key role will serve as project coordinator for the Division
Chief's Office. The position will manage multiple complex projects
while also prioritizing and coordinating communications on behalf
of the Division Chief. The position will triage and prioritize in a
fast-paced environment, work independently with minimal
supervision, and possess skills in a variety of technological
applications (eg Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator
or Photoshop) and EndNote or similar programs). This role will also
include working on how our Division adapts and incorporates large
language models and other AI into our administrative, clinical and
research operations.
The position requires a well-organized, proactive, resourceful,
approachable, flexible, efficient individual who enjoys supporting
a large and diverse division. Crucial to this role is the ability
to interact with a wide range of audiences with diplomacy,
confidentiality, and professionalism. Excellent written, web and
verbal communications skills with experience working with a wide
variety of audiences in Academics, Government, Community, Private
Sector, and Foundations. Strong decision-making ability and
capability to learn the nuanced understanding of university
guidelines and processes, attention to detail, and responsiveness
with high productivity are also essential attributes.
Details of the position include coordinating high profile projects
and events, exercising independent judgment and critical thinking
in managing multiple assignments on tight deadlines; framing,
analyzing, and solving problems; drafting meeting agendas,
materials, and presentations; and other duties as assigned by the
Division Chief and the Division Manager.
In addition, the position will serve as the primary webmaster for
the division. This requires the ability to communicate internally
and externally to a wide range of audiences.

ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit
agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in
the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will
take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND
the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a
similar role.For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement,
there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed

The Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine at the
University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is an internationally
recognized, mission-driven global leader in clinical care,
research, and education. With its home-base located at Zuckerberg
San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG), The
Division's work leads to high-level policy changes, is featured
frequently in the media, and it is often visited by numerous
international, national, state, and local dignitaries and

members, 11 fellows/postdoctoral scholars and 170 academic and
staff employees. It is the largest Division of the Department of
