support engineering, program offices and our customers. WLE
disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products
from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support,
including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety and
Supportability.*Job Summary:*We are looking for a Jr. System Safety
Engineer, to join our System Safety team located in Tucson, AZ.
Your overall responsibilities will include:Assist with analysis of
engineering hardware, electrical drawings/schematics and assessing
for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirement
compliance.Work with test and tactical operating and maintenance
procedures to assure the proper administrative controls are in
place.Work across all integrated product teams to properly
eliminate hazards or provide effective measures.Participate in
collaboration with Program Management and government approval
authorities from program startup through production to
demilitarization and disposal activities.*We value diverse skills

you.**Responsibilities to Anticipate:*Supporting the performance of
a System Safety Program or Design analyses (e.g. software,
hardware, flight test, maintenance, and hazard
management).Performing tasks on a system safety program or project,
including:Reporting task statusCollaborating with the program team
and stakeholders (e.g., customers, program offices, subcontractors,
vendors)Assisting in the preparation of Safety Assessment
ReportsSupporting Safety Program Briefings at technical interchange
reviews as part of the customer safety approval processInterpreting
system requirements, customer specifications and military
standards.Supporting critical fault tree safety analyses and
documenting results.Collaborating across multiple disciplines to
gain a full understanding of the product design.*Qualifications You
Must Have:*Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree and less than 2
years of relevant experience OR an Associate's degree and 4 years
of relevant experience.*Employment Experience:*Experience with:
System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or
Firmware Engineering, or equivalent Safety Engineering experience
in Aerospace, Automotive or Medical Device industries.The ability
to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is
required as only US citizens are eligible for a security
clearance.*Qualifications We Value:*Experience with DoD (or
similar) System Safety Programs.Strong written, verbal and
presentation skills.Strong interpersonal and project management
skills, with the ability to manage a safety program and provide
direction to supporting safety personnel.Master's Degree in
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).Requires
theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree.
Limited to some knowledge of RTX organization.Typically requires a
University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years
prior relevant experience.Engineering/Other Technical
Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology,
Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior
relevant experience unless prohibited bylocal
