With a focus on the ongoing development, engagement and wellbeing of our people, we know we will continue to exceed customer expectations and drive change for the future.About the Opportunity:Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Production Tech will within a manufacturing cell, ensuring a high quality product delivered to the next cell to consistently meet production goals as defined by the monthly shipment schedule. This position will require a full-time onsite work schedule.Key Responsibilities:Performs various production processes, which are intricate & complicated in nature and specific to the construction of x-ray tubes, and related products.Performs established processes according to verbal or written instructions, including but not limited to manufacturing procedures, assembly drawings or diagrams.Operates hand tools, power tools, production equipment and associated computer workstations.Accepts individual responsibility for achievement of scheduled manufacturing cell output.Accepts individual responsibility for quality of work produced, including inspection of own work against expected outcome.Applies a high level of attention to detail and quality focus to their work.Readily accepts opportunities to cross train. Possess the aptitude to perform at least 50% of the manufacturing cell production processes.Proactively cross trains fellow technicians.Continual skill set improvement as measured by increasing skill set and cross training capabilitiesConsistently meets production goals as defined by the monthly shipment scheduleAbout the Candidate:The ideal candidate will possess great communication skills to be a positive contributor to the production team, ability to understand and support management quality programs and objectives, understands their individual role in relation to quality management systems (ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025), with relevant prior experience to master requisite skills in an expected and communicated timeframe.Additional Qualifications:Experience of completing material transactions within an ERP system to a high level of accuracy is desirableMaintains a positive, proactive attitude as jointly determined by relevant senior managers.Professional demeanor and reliable contributor to the teamHigh School graduate or GED.No physical limitations, which would prevent success in the position, assuming reasonable measures as required by relevant, labor laws.Salary Range: $32,000-$42,000 annually depending on experienceOxford Instruments Perks and benefits:Generous benefit packages - We offer our employees competitive health insurance options, including Medical, Dental, andVision plans.Our 401k program has options for saving both pre- and post-tax dollars for retirement.Paid Time Off (PTO) Work-life balance is a key part of our company culture here at OI, and we know that our employees do their best work when they can take the time they need to rest and recharge.
