POSITION TITLE:Senior Supply Chain Data Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Supply Chain Data Analyst will leverage raw data from our ERP systems and other sources to quantify results and identify trends. They will develop dashboards, score cards and data analysis programs to support strategic decisions and quantify their results. They will play a key role in Scripps' ERP implementation project by cleansing and rationalizing data from our legacy systems and migrating it to the new systems. They will also help create and maintain a culture of Master Data Management at Scripps.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Works alongside and supports the Head of Systems and Compliance, Procurement and Logistics with making strategic decisions.
  • Supports system administrators with the maintenance and operation of the procure-to-pay systems and other procurement related projects and
  • Helps develop and maintain KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in Supply Chain systems.
  • Interacts with supplier's technical support teams or customer service to correct electronic files and seek appropriate credits if due or other corrective action.
  • Identifies process errors, applies, and generalizes corrective actions to new situations, and makes suggestions that lead to more efficient work processes.
  • Collaborates with team members to collect and analyze data and trains end-users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Analyzes problems, performs complex analysis, and determines root causes.
  • Prepares reports for management stating trends, patterns, predictions, using relevant data, including reporting for internal and external auditing.
  • Works closely supporting sourcing managers, administration, and labs on financial analysis of bids, quotes, and proposals.
  • Develops data analytics across the supplier base supporting contracting such as; price/cost analysis, determining overall value and ensuring suppliers are performing within contract specifications.
  • Provides supplier evaluation for their permissibility and ability to provide goods and services to government-funded institutes.
  • Develops and maintains on-going procurement metrics including cost savings, transaction savings, procure-to- pay transactions, and site utilization and Procurement efficiencies.
  • Analyzes financial reports (D&B supplier database scrub) to identify potential supply chain issues and alert those risks to the stakeholders.
  • Gathers data from diverse sources and organizes it in meaningful ways.
  • Substitutes and supports onboarding and maintenance of users and suppliers in systems, including set-up cXML, EDI, Punchout, Hosted Catalogs.
  • Reviews and analyzes and supplier quotes and price files
  • Assists with creation and maintenance of an Asset Lifecycle Management program.
  • Analysis of FedEx, UPS, World Courier and other logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for savings or efficiencies.
  • Mentors the Supply Chain Team in data management

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Finance or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
    • Demonstrated experience overseeing automated procurement systems, with previous SciQuest (Jaggaer), and WorkDay, and Rezolve experience preferred.
    • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, ).
    • Use of advance features such as Macros and Power Queries
    • Decision-making/problem-solving skills to address moderate to complex
    • Ability to read and write, HTML, SQL, Python, Visual Basic and XML.
    • Experience in implementing new technologies and planning/multi-tasking
    • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills and attention to
    • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) programs a plus.
    • Ability to work effectively with users at various technical and organizational levels from diverse cultural backgrounds, languages and nationalities.

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

      May include stationary position for an extended period of time, traverse campus/facility as needed, operate machinery such as computer, phone, copy machine; exposure to cold or hot temperatures. With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to lift and handle equipment or materials up to 20 pounds; as well as perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists and hands.

      COMPENSATION:

      The expected hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
