One Medical is seeking to hire a Senior Accounts Payable (Sr. AP) Specialist to join our Finance team at our San Francisco Headquarters. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Sr. AP Specialist will work cross-functionally to support Accounts Payable across the organization. Specifically, the Sr. AP Specialist will focus on One Medical's virtual card platform, ensuring compliance both internally and externally, implementing process improvement practices, and assisting with month-end and audit procedures. Additional responsibilities include participation in broader month end close processes, annual external audit, account reconciliations and review while collaborating with business partners and team members to ensure expenses and/or accruals have been completed. Working side by side with the Accounts Payable team, the Sr. AP Specialist will drive continuous improvement and habitually evaluate processes in order to optimize and streamline workflows. Additionally, the Sr. AP Specialist will possess exemplary organizational skills and will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and evolving environment. The Sr. AP Specialist will demonstrate strong prioritization skills, with experience in prioritizing tasks to ensure service level agreements are met. Moreover, it is paramount that the Senior Accounts Payable Specialist communicate effectively and demonstrate the ability to follow through on commitments. What You'll Likely Work On

  • Manage One Medical's corporate card program of approximately 125 cards and our virtual card program, including month end accruals, reconciliations to statement and compliance to SOX guidelines.
  • Analyze expense reports using our Expensify system, which may include receipts validation and expense policy compliance
  • Manage vendor maintenance with W9 forms that are in accordance with the company internal controls.
  • Assist in year-end 1099 validation and reporting of approximately 2500+contractors and growing
  • Check processing and check mailing on a weekly basis. Experience with positive pay.
  • Ability to proactively investigate and resolve billing and vendor issues.
  • Manage Amortization Prepaids processes: ensure proper schedule is captured and able to create journal entries to G/L, and create supporting schedules
  • Prepare and post various journal entries and transactional activity to G/L as assigned
  • Assist with preparation of management reports, month-end close, tax filings, and other ad hoc accounting project as assigned
  • Understanding your processes and systems, the interconnection with upstream and downstream processes and identifying process improvements
  • Assist on quarterly and year-end audit procedures with SOX team and external auditors to include managing the process of gathering support.
  • Unholding T&E policies and Sox Guidelines
  • NetSuite, Coupa,, Expensify, Teampay experience would be helpful
  • Participate in process improvement projects including implementation of enhancements to our ERP systems and processes
  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management
  • Cross train on AP functions and ability to perform as backup when needed.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management. You'll be set up for success if you have:
    • 3 - 5+ years experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles
    • Strong attention to detail, process-oriented and a broader systems perspective
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a relentless focus on the customer
    • Understanding of the AP close and related system functionality, including experience with approval workflow systems, journal entries, amortizations, SOX & expense reporting
    • Bachelor's Degree required; degree in accounting preferred
    • Proficiency with Excel
