IT Help Desk Technician at Bay Area's Fastest-Growing IT StartupKinetix is a rapidly growing MSP (managed service provider), offering tech services to startups in the Bay Area, New York, and beyond. Kinetix exists to help our clients and people grow.About the role:We're looking for a new team member who can use their technical and customer service skills to impress our clients, while also learning and advancing quickly, playing a key role in our company growth. This opening is for a technician who is comfortable working with remote users located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and other major US cities. While there are no medium, or long-term plans to make this an in-person role anytime soon, you may be expected to assist with physical technology tasks once the pandemic ends. This role is designed to fuel your growth as a tech and catapult you wherever you'd like to move in your career, including a job at our HQ, where you'll work on higher-level issues and projects across all clients.We are looking for someone with:+ Demonstrable experience supporting Mac workstations (PC is a plus)+ A passion for developing hard and soft skills and career advancement+ The ability to be receptive and action-oriented in response to constructive feedback+ A calm and focused approach to high-pressure situations+ A strong dedication to developing technically and to delivering world-class customer service+ Strong professional and technical communication skills (both written and verbal)+ At least 5 years of help desk experience+ Moderate networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, VPN, teleworker connectivity issues)+ Can work autonomously+ Experience with Jamf Pro or other MDM platforms+ Experience supporting finance/accounting applications (QuickBooks, Sage, Axys, etc.) + Basic understanding of bash and/or Powershell scripting is a plusSome responsibilities include:+ Working directly with our clients to tackle high-level technical problems+ Providing technical support by phone, email, chat, and in-person+ Working on challenging technical projects+ Participating in an on-call rotation+ Maintaining technical documentation+ Maintaining internal infrastructure (Atlassian, SAML/SS, VPNs, Linux System Administration, SSL Certificates, etc.) Benefits and perks:+ Monthly social events+ Annual summer event+ Annual holiday party+ 95% coverage for medical/dental/vision premiums and more+ $125 monthly cell phone reimbursement & $150 monthly meal stipend+ Reimbursement for learning and training materials, including technical certifications+ Flexible working hours+ Generous PTO, sick and family leave policiesWorking at Kinetix during the COVID-19 pandemicAs with other companies, we and our clients have felt the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
