A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.The Emerging Healthcare Technologies (EHT) group within Wells Fargo's Healthcare Corporate and Investment (CIB) vertical is seeking a first-year Corporate Banking Analyst to join its team in San Francisco, CA or Boston, MA. This individual will be part of a structured program within Corporate Banking within CIB and begin on a defined career path to become a Relationship or Portfolio Manager. EHT services clients ranging from start-up to early stages of growth and commercialization. The team focuses its efforts on subsectors such as Biotech/Pharma, Medical Device, Digital Health, Healthcare IT, Pharma Outsourcing, and Diagnostic & Life Sciences Tools. In this role, you'll gain exposure to key areas of banking including industry and deal due diligence, financial analysis, deal execution, and portfolio support.--Our ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated with a dedicated work ethic and entrepreneurial attitude. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit---s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience in one or a combination of the following: financial analysis, credit analysis, relationship management, equity or venture capital investing; or a BS/BA degree or higher granted prior to hire dateDesired Qualifications
    • Ability to achieve business results and willing to accept accountability for achieving goals
    • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
    • High level of initiative and accountability
    • Ability to act with integrity, good character and exercise sound judgment
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of financial services credit risk management
    • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
    • Securities industry experience including industry-specific coverageOther Desired Qualifications
      • Passion for early-stage companies and venture capital (while not required, passion in healthcare or medical sciences is a plus)
      • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize and summarize quantitative findings in writing
