Job Description:
Located in the heart of San Francisco, the Asian Art Museum is
home to one of the world's finest collections of Asian art,
boasting more than 18,000 inspiring artworks ranging from ancient
jades and ceramics to contemporary video installations. Dynamic
special exhibitions, cultural celebrations, and public programs for
all ages provide rich art experiences that unlock the past and
spark questions about the future. -Currently, we are seeking a
Development Associate -to join our team. This is an exceptional

colleagues. Under the supervision of the -Director of Individual
and Legacy Giving or designee, the Development Associate -provides
support to the Individual Giving Team and serves as the concierge
for various donor circles. This position regularly engages with
staff, vendors, visitors, volunteers, members, and colleagues in a
personable and respectful manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -
- Assists in supporting strategies for retaining and upgrading
current donors through a well-defined moves management process,
outreach and communication, and engagement. -
- Supports the Jade Circle, Nexus, and Nova programs and assists
the team to achieve fundraising goals. -
- Provides administrative support for the Individual Giving team.

- Conducts donor prospect research and prepares briefings for
frontline fundraisers and museum leadership. -
- Assists with donor outreach activities including solicitation
efforts, stewardship activities, personal phone calls, data entry,
filing, inventory management, and information tracking. -
- Coordinates logistics, prepares materials, and takes meeting
minutes. -
- Maintains the Individual Giving team communications and events
calendars. -
- Administers donor benefits and ensures, updates, and maintains
accuracy of various rosters and reports. -
- Acts as the point of communication for donor groups,
volunteers, stakeholders, etc.
- Initiates and circulates mailing lists, documents, etc. for
team review. -
- Collaborates with team members to assist in the planning and
implementation of events and provides onsite event staff
support.
- Establishes and nurtures strong working relationships with
museum staff, colleagues from other institutions, consultants, and
vendors. -
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and
two (2) years of experience in fundraising, marketing,
communications, or similar field, including experience working
directly with Boards and volunteers. A combination of education and
experience will be considered. -
- Demonstrated ability to organize workload, maintain several
projects of equal priority at once, and sustain productivity and
accuracy under pressure. -
- Proficiency in MS Word, Mail Merge, Excel, PowerPoint, donor
database management - preferably Raiser's Edge, and MailChimp.
- Strong administrative and interpersonal skills; strong
attention to detail; planning, organizational skills; strong
follow-through. -
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. -
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of
individuals. -
- Ability to analyze situations, clarify priorities,
problem-solve, recommend, and implement appropriate solutions.

- Ability to always display good judgment and exercise tact and
diplomacy and to demonstrate exceptional flexibility with a strong
customer-service focus. -
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
with staff, volunteers, and members of the public. -
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events
or deadlines. -WORKING CONDITIONS -Standard museum and office
environment. -
- Computer and phone use. -Please note, all museum team members
must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of
employment (to be fully vaccinated, 14 days must have passed since
the final dose of a two-shot vaccine, or a single dose of a
one-shot vaccine was received) and provide proof, absent qualifying
