The Impact You Can MakeAs the company's founding designer, you will have one of the most critical roles in Inventive's success. You will lay the design foundation and vision for a truly innovative product with the potential to transform Enterprise software forever. You will be working directly with the founders to shape and deliver on our ambitious roadmap and bring the product vision to life. Daily decisions you make will have an outsized impact on our roadmap and company culture both immediately and as we scale.We can't build this business without someone like you.

  • Architect and own the design systems, visual identity, and user-experience from the ground-up to scale with our product and team.
  • Deeply understand and serve the needs of our customers
  • Take complex data problems and distill them down into simple, elegant design solutions for an experience that will be best-in-class in its space.
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to identify, plan, scope, and execute end-to-end design experiences.
  • Proactively identify product opportunities through research, and bring clarity and insight through ideation and testing.
  • Define and scale the company design culture and processes at Inventive (design reviews, etc.).

      How We HireWe know first hand that diverse and inclusive teams lead to bigger impact and success.Apply - Along with your Linkedin/Resume, -be sure to submit your design portfolio. Ideally this should include some case studies and demonstrate your strengths and interests as a designer and how you have been involved in each project.
    • First Meeting - 15-25 min video call to build conviction you'll succeed in the role. We like to learn about your experience and clarify initial fit on both sides.
    • Project Review - 60 min video call where you present 2-3 portfolio projects of your past work to the team.
    • Design Exercise - 60-90 min video call working through a problem together and feeling out what it would be to work together. Skills applicable here are: wire-framing, basic product design, making trade-offs, and overall communication skills.
    • Culture fit Interview - 30 min video call to meet more of the team and validate mutual fit.References - we'll learn from outside perspectives about how best to empower you.The Decision - we'll give you a call to welcome you to the team!
