development and delivery of innovative digital related work and
consulting services embedded in broader engineering/infrastructure
projects and stand-alone projects. We are seeking a candidate to
provide leadership of our state revolving fund (SRF) program
service offerings, to deliver strategic projects, and to drive
growth of our funding, asset management, organizational
performance, and strategic planning service offerings in the water
sector.Your Key Responsibilities:
- This position is an external client facing position with our
Management Consulting Team.
- Support business development for the MTC team. Lead Stantec
business development and service offering strategies nationally for
the state revolving fund (SRF) program and develop a corresponding
team and business model that integrates with and leverages the
existing MTC team.
- Engage with clients and potential clients to understand their
needs and problems and apply MTC solutions, solution history, and
personal solution history to help Stantec grow. A specific focus
will be supporting the administration of state revolving funds
(SRF).
- Lead the delivery of strategic funding, asset management, and
management consulting projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality
services on time and within budget. As needed, participate in the
delivery of design engineering projects in the U.S. Northeast.
- Work closely with regional leadership to identify and
create/incubate opportunities for collaborative offerings -
including technical and funding services - across the region and
across multiple business lines.
- Recruit, mentor, train, develop, and deploy technical talent.
Working dynamically with project teams to identify best-fit
solutions to business, strategic, infrastructure, and operational
issues, that involve elevated risk/complexity.
- Actively contribute to MTC strategic planning, focused on
funding and asset management services, and deployment of our
digital solutions.
- Maintain and grow client relationships and lead responses to
client requests, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Maintain knowledge of water industry, state and federal funding
programs, financial planning, and economic trends.
- Serve as an independent reviewer of analysis prepared by peers
or junior staff to ensure technical accuracy and appropriateness of
methods and tools used and solutions evaluated.
- Meet performance goals and objectives as assigned, with respect
to client-specific demands, stated delivery milestones, quality
standards, project management framework, mentoring of junior staff,
and all required training activities.
- Develop delivery approaches and work products, with no
oversight, to support client business challenges for a variety of
highly complex issues; as well as direct and train junior staff in
these approaches.
- Serve as a primary member of multiple teams at client meetings,
including interactive use of analytical tools and facilitating
workshops; as well as direct and train junior staff in these
areas.
- Work dynamically with project teams to identify best-fit
solutions to complex business, strategic, infrastructure, and
operational issues, that involve elevated risk and/or potential
conflicts of interest.
- Lead or advise the project team in interactive meetings with
our clients to identify and analyze issues affecting their
organizations and key stakeholders.
- In some cases, serve as the project manager for client
engagements, ensuring delivery of high-quality services on time and
within budget.QualificationsYour Capabilities and Credentials:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of and interest in state and local government
organizational structure, budgeting / reporting, infrastructure
funding, and types of services they provide is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft
Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro and other business systems required.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation
skills.
- Capable of presenting/sharing analyses in an interactive work
setting while being able to make adjustments in a live
setting.
- Self-starter capable of efficiently and proactively working
independently as well as with a geographically dispersed team on
multiple projects simultaneously.

- Bachelor's Degree in business, mathematics, finance, economics,
statistics, data science, engineering, accounting, or related
fields are required. Master's Degree is a plus.
- 20 years total post-undergraduate working experience in
municipal management consulting, economics, infrastructure funding,
and/or financial analysis and/or working for local government
agencies in these areas.
- Direct work experience/history with state and local government
agencies or water agencies in funding, regulatory, and technical
initiatives.
- Focused experience working with state and local agencies in the
U.S. Northeast
- Project management experience, including preparing and managing
project scope, schedule, team activities, communication, and
deliverables.
- Experience leading and managing complex projects
