Together, we empower our customers with the products and tools they need to make critical breakthroughs in research and treatment.The Account Executive will be part of our fast growing Food Science Division on the West Coast. The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate, sell, and install Bio-Rad's Food Science products to customers. Also, the Account Executive will provide technical consultancy to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales of products and services. Can reside in WA, OR,NV,AZ,NM or CAHow You'll Make An Impact:

  • The Account Executive will be responsible for the maintenance and growth of their territory for the complete line of Food Science Division consumables and scientific instrumentation. The product portfolio includes chromogenic media, qPCR for food pathogen detection, and other related equipment/supplies.
  • Responsible for the attainment of Food Science Division's instrument and reagent sales growth objectives and effectively managing the territory.
  • Prospect and gain access to competitive accounts with the ability to effectively tailor messaging strategies to the laboratory as well as procurement
  • Develop sales process strategy to win competitive business and guide internal cross functional sales process with Global Strategic Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers and technical staff.
  • Work cross functionally with internal colleagues on the technical sales and customer service staffs to provide best in class sales experience and support.
  • Utilize competitive, customer, and product knowledge to identify new leads and re-sign existing customers to new long term products in conjunction with National Account Managers and Global Strategic Account Managers.
  • Prepare financial quotations and pricing for accounts to achieve corporate business objectives.
  • Deliver financial and technical presentations that are tailored to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain information and knowledge of competitors and their products to effectively gain competitive conversions and retain existing customer base.
  • Territory management and prioritization based on sales analytics and market drivers.
    What You Bring:

    • BS, MS, or PhD in Microbiology, Food Science, Life Science discipline or equivalent experience.
    • Experience: 5 years experience of PCR techniques in the food science industry. successful sales experience, technical support, or laboratory experience a must.
    • Knowledge of food pathogen testing, including but not limited to PCR techniques and also other rapid and conventional methods.
    • Detailed planning and organization skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently. A combination of expert troubleshooting and interpersonal skills are the keys to success in this position.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $89,300 to $122,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
