The PositionAs the Lead Talent Strategy Partner (Business Area Lead) you will have the overall global view of the Business Area Research & Development (R&D) in collaboration with your counterpart based in EMEA, to co-create and help drive the strategies and goals of the strategic pipeline. You will act as the primary point of contact for incoming requests and prioritize resources within the Business Area. Together with the Talent Strategy Partners and with the guiding decision principles, you will leverage squad or work product team resources and contribute to deliverables with joint efforts.As the Business Area Lead for R&D, you'll take ownership for the succession plans and pipelines building of our most senior leaders, up to and including our C-Suite executives. You'll also partner with our Strategic Pipelining Community across the globe to deliver projects, ensuring quality and consistency.To be successful in this role, you'll need to closely partner with our People & Culture Enterprise Business Partners, our Executive Recruiting team, and our Strategic Pipelining team. In doing so you will help maintain and further enhance our diverse, innovative and inclusive workforce and a leadership culture based on trust and performance.We're looking for someone who can be hands-on with our most senior leaders, and prospective candidates who are in their own right leaders of industry. You need to be able to counsel them on their talent strategy, as well as the talent pipelining activity in their teams. Specifically, business leaders will rely on you to offer expertise in competitive intelligence, candidate attraction and sourcing methodologies that ensure a diverse pool of outstanding candidates.You will also be expert in identifying and attracting external executive talent at the Regional and Global level, and will collaborate with our Talent Strategy Partners and Sourcing Partners team to identify candidates from our internal and external talent pipeline.You have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills. You're able to quickly understand an individual's motives, are a truly inquisitive and are someone who thrives in ambiguity. You'll also need to be able to communicate precisely and concisely to all who you engage with. Your knowledge in R&D will likely set you apart from peers, and you'll be very comfortable operating in a global environment.If you're already an accomplished Talent Partner with both executive search and in-house talent expertise at a very senior level in a large corporate organization, and you have Healthcare or MedTech experience, we'd love to talk with you! We're looking for someone skilled at client and candidate management and skilled at identifying and attracting talent.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • You will drive your Business Area team to deliver strategic outcomes, manage dependencies and help remove obstacles that stand between your Business Area team and business success
  • You will have meaningful business and leadership conversations with leaders across the group and will embed yourself as a trusted adviser
  • You utilize data and insights on a global level that assess trends, help drive smarter decisions and create innovative pipelining solutions for your area
  • You are responsible in collaboration with the EMEA based BAL R&D for the R&D Business Area engagement & capability building of the Talent Strategy Partners
  • You actively build strategic pipelines, contribute and facilitate people discussions for your area of responsibilities
  • You are an active member of the Strategic Pipelining Enabling Team composed of BALs and AoP LeadKEY SKILLS / CAPABILITIES / MINDSET & BEHAVIORS
    • You have specific expertise, skills, experience and market knowledge around the Research & Development area
    • You have people management skills and experience in Executive Search
    • You are able to identify the very best talent externally, and approach them in a compelling manner
    • You are an expert in consulting with executive level stakeholders; having broad, business focused discussions and adding value by advising on the experience, competencies and behaviors of a "best in class" leader
    • You demonstrate a strong capability to lead through influence
    • You have a strong collaborative mindset, can work well in global settings, speak fluent English, with an openness to different cultural backgrounds and diversity
    • You hold a university degree or significant experience gainedRelocation benefits are not available for this job posting.The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $167,000 and $310,000.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
