Job Requisition ID #23WD66834Position OverviewReporting to the
Vice President of Autodesk Education Experiences (AEX), the Chief
of Staff will focus on relentlessly improving the performance level
of the Executive and leadership staff. This role is a trusted
advisor to the leader and will focus on strategy, operational
efficiency, and organizational alignment. This includes managing
and driving the engagement model for leadership staff in order to
ensure rapid decision making, coordinated execution, and visibility
to key initiatives within the team all while incorporating the
Autodesk Culture. -Critically, this role will build 'connective
tissue' to enable a healthy and performant organization by
designing/optimizing operational models, processes, and programs
that enable the organization to realize our strategy and
objectives. -The successful candidate will be a resourceful leader
with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, communication,
and organizational skills. This person will have a strong work
ethic, a commitment to clear goals and measurable outcomes, and an
ability to learn quickly and work well in
teams.Responsibilities
- Manage the annual strategic planning process for the AEX
leadership team and facilitate the execution, communication and
review of these plans -
- Ensure operational excellence and leadership team alignment by
leveraging processes and frameworks that drive effective decision
making and clear accountability, including tracking and reporting
on follow-up actions required
- Design and orchestrate the business cadence of the leadership
team through planning and facilitating staff meetings, QBRs,
offsites, extended leadership team meetings, etc. This could
include team building sessions, organizational reviews, strategy
discussions, and other strategic meetings & workshops
- Aid in the creation of the organization's yearly goals,
objectives and key results, and key performance indicators. -Track
and report out organization OKRs and WWM deliverables on a
quarterly basis. - Serve as the main point of contact to provide
updates on defined set of quarterly deliverables across the
company
- Act as a 'trusted counsel' to the executive and senior
leadership team to elevate and amplify their capacity, capability,
and effectiveness. - Provide insight and analysis on the
organization's operations, key decisions and other business areas
as well as serve as liaison or proxy when needed
- Create strategic messaging -both written & spoken to provide an
overall view across teams to help collaboration across the
organization. Own and drive communications, ranging from internal
team communications, and executive communications for the leader
being supported, and communications out to the wider Autodesk
organization (for example, org-wide announcements, All Hands,
annual plans, and ad hoc communications)
- Partner closely with other functions relevant to the team,
including Finance, HR, Recruiting, Product Management, Marketing
and various other teams at Autodesk to represent the needs and
priorities of the AEX team and build plans to support them
- Plan and lead strategic projects and programs that impact the
overall success of the company and advance the Autodesk Culture,
ranging from team/leadership development, employee
rewards/recognition/well-being, talent planning/performance
management/recruiting, new systems/processes to streamline team
efficacy, etc. - Work across teams to advance organizational goals
and foster trust, including working with other Chiefs of Staff
across the company to develop and cascade best practicesMinimum
Qualifications
- 15+ years of demonstrated success leading large, complex
projects and / or programs across teams or organizations, often
working on multiple projects at the same time
- Solid business acumen, critical thinking, problem solving, and
organizational skills, including ability to distill complex issues
into structured frameworks and concrete action plans
- Versatile self-starter with a team-oriented work style. Ability
to build credibility and relationships quickly across functions and
levels
- Persuasive leader with experience driving initiatives with
demonstrable outcomes, engaging with executives, and supporting
others to articulate a vision
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to
communicate complex concepts concisely, clearly and effectively
across multiple levels including executive leadership team, peers,
managers and junior staff
- Team organizer, builder, and motivator with exceptional
influencing skills who can exercise judgment related to
prioritization and risk management
- Experience building programs that enhance the effectiveness,
engagement, and satisfaction of teams
- Trustworthy with high integrity, and the ability to maintain
appropriate confidentiality
- A good sounding board for others, with low ego and ability to

U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $125,600
and $203,170. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and
geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base
salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash
bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a
comprehensive benefits package.
