May also train lower-level clerical staff.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMay prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.May create a wide variety of template, company-sanctioned marketing materials that may include maps, advertisements, demographic reports, and executive summary brochures for in-house and client presentations using advanced desktop, graphic, and mapping software.May conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees, and boards of directors.May read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.May perform technical duties such as working with multi-media software, setting up Audio Visual equipment, initiating video conferences, or operating phones or the Internet.May open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.May file and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.May perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.May answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.Other duties may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers.May coordinate work and assign tasks.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.REASONING ABILITYAbility to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
