You should have strong opinions about best design principles and frameworks but also be able to find compromises to deliver the right value to the business based on the constraints of an early phase start-up. You are innovative, creative, user-centric, and collaborative. Most of all, you're interested in using your skill set and capabilities to make a foundational contribution to our mission of reversing climate change.ResponsibilitiesYou will partner with product, engineering, and the founders to build beautiful, intuitive, and forward-thinking products that drive our core sustainability mission. Through your work, you will be expected toCreate and shape the user experience for our core member product from a design perspective that address business, brand, and user needsCollaborate with our design leads to create the core design principles in coherence with our product and brand identityPartner with product and engineering leadership to define problems & goals, map user journeys, prototype interactions, and launch new productsSuccessfully develop and launch high quality work that aligns with our missionOversee multiple initiatives from insight to strategy across all platforms and devicesBuild strong relationships with our executive team and cross functional stakeholdersMaintain a consistent understanding of technological, business, and user opportunities and constraintsA Few Things We're Looking ForUX/UI Designer with 5+ years of experienceExperience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of software applicationsExcellent visual and interaction skills and craft0 to 1 experience or experience redesigning major elements of a product or experienceCan accurately scope design work to inform resourcing and team developmentAbility to think beyond the screens and pixels to create a holistic journey that incorporates designs for offline experiencesExperience with making complex information, frameworks, and actions easily digestible for usersExperience designing platforms and systemsExperience across the design lifecycle, can stretch into user research and writing disciplinesExperience working in an agile, startup environment[Preferred] Experience leading and mentoring other designers[Preferred] Experience building and managing work across multiple designersDiverse PerspectivesWe know that innovation thrives on teams where diverse points of view come together to solve hard problems in ways that are just now possible.
