who we are. The Production Supervisor sets the team up to win on
all safety, quality and productivity goals on a daily basis. The
Supervisor leads the team to produce finished goods that meet or
exceed consumer s expectations. Also providing assurance the all
items comply with internal food safety, quality standards and
regulatory requirements. Team training and development is a crucial
focus in ensuring a continuous improvement environment that
promotes changes that reinforces the Mezzetta beliefs.Major Role &
Responsibilities (MR s) and Output and Measurement1. Build and lead
a high performance team that puts Mezzetta s culture into action2.
Supervise and run optimum day-to-day line operations to exceed
customers expectations3. Ensure the safety of production personnel
in accordance with local, state and company rules and
regulations.4. Product to planned schedule to ensure product is
high quality and available to ship to customers5. Maintain systems
and processes that optimize and achieve maximum productivity to
performance targets and standards for excellence.6. Apply
continuous improvement strategy s to stay up to date with
leadership best practices and concepts.7. It is company policy that
all personnel able to affect product quality, safety and/or
legality are competent and trained to ensure they can effectively
carry out their role. Responsibilities and authorities of all
personnel are communicated to them via induction and role
training.Skills:Strong knowledge of computers including Microsoft
office suitePrevious experience leading diverse working groups of
production personnelRequired = minimum level required for
performing the positionPreferred = level that enables a successful
performance of the positionProficient in written and spoken
EnglishPossess skills to communicate in Spanish preferred but not
requiredEducation:University undergraduate degree preferred3+ years
of leadership or supervisory role5+ years in production capacity in
food industry (2 years waived with Technical DegreeTeam
LeadershipTake responsibility for the group when things do not go
as planned.Talk directly and openly about performance issues giving
guidance on corrective actionsDefine issues and problems in a
straightforward manner.Empowering and enabling othersActively
encourage direct reports to exercise judgment at their
discretion.Open CommunicationsKeep people informed and up to date
on issues and upcoming projects asappropriate.Seek input from the

find and resolve issues at the lowest level possible. Work
Environment:Manufacturing work environment must be able to work in
a range of temperatures and humidity (heat and cold)Ability to work
around heavy equipment and product machinerySome lifting and moving
product and or equipment (50lbs)Ability to work extended hours as
neededFunction in environment that requires bending, stooping,
