Role responsibilities:
If successful, you will be responsible for sales of the full genomics portfolio in a key company territory made up of Northwest US States with a key focus on San Francisco Bay Area. This role will report directly to the Manager of US Sales and require at least 50% travel. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Achieve strategic sales targets and develop the business within the assigned territory
  • Prospect, and close sales with new and existing business
  • Contact prospective customers to determine product needs and perform sales presentations to match those identified needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in technical support, and global marketing teams to develop and implement sales strategies and activities
  • Maintain the Customer Relationship Manager system (CRM) by adding key contacts, leads, generating quotes, and keeping all customer information up to date
  • Accurately forecast information on a monthly and quarterly basis
    What we are looking for:
    We are looking for someone with a specialist degree in life sciences (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of two years of technical sales experience. You should have a demonstrated track record of selling complex, technical life science products or solutions, experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, and knowledge of NGS platforms, applications, and tools providers.
    You should be self-motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal skills, and work well independently as well as part of a team.
