That's why Hemmersbach is The Social Purpose IT Company.Your TasksAs a Network Engineer you are responsible for developing and operating Fitbit's technical capabilities within our Devices and Services organization involving network infrastructure, manufacturing/New Product Introduction and heritage Fitbit systems. You will work across the Fitbit team with Engineering, Devices and Services Operations teams to manage and deliver on dependencies that transition and transform employee productivity and go-to-market needs.
You are technically-inclined and comfortable working remotely with both on premise and cloud infrastructure technologies. You will collaborate with various global teams including security, networking, manufacturing test engineering, and other infrastructure teams. This role requires the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and make quick decisions, at times with limited information.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with partner teams in Engineering, Operations, Deployment, Security, and other internal stakeholders as well as external vendors.
- Work with engineering teams to operationalize stable, scalable platforms.
- Create prototypes for problem solutions and extend software tools where required to minimize downtime of DSPA MFG and Fitbit heritage infrastructure.
- Deliver systems and core IT infrastructure upgrades, capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance. Applying proactive upgrades, fixes, and patches in accordance with operating hours/requirements, policies, best practices, and vendor recommendations.Our RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Networking Infrastructure
- Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale, distributed systems in the management plane, control plane, and/or data plane
- Extensive experience implementing and troubleshooting IPsec, IKEv2, and DMVPN networks with a global footprint in a heterogeneous environment.
- Solid understanding of layer 2 & 3 switching/routing protocols, implementation, and troubleshooting in a highly available 24x7 operating environment.
- Solid understanding of securing network infrastructure at layers 2-7, as well as the management and control planes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years of experience supporting IT Operations, Deployment & Troubleshooting (including Windows, Linux, Networking, Scripting, Cloud, Automation and Applications)
- Experience transitioning network environments (e.g., data centers, Wide Area Network [WAN], access, Wireless, cloud, and layer 3 overlay)
- Experience leading technical teams, cross-functional groups, and vendors
- Experience with Cisco and cloud switching, routing, and interoperability using multiple routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, as well as cloud native routing.
- Experience with Cisco legacy and next generation firewalls and management systems.
- Solid understanding of SDN (Software Defined Networking) concepts and techniques in a global network.
