Job Description

This role can be based in San Francisco, CA, Sunnyvale, CA, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Omaha, NE or Washington, DC depending on which location the applicant chosen for the role is currently residing.

This role will own analytics and data science our Global Business Org (GBO) initiatives across all lines of businessyour work will have significant impact on LinkedIn's sales strategy and ultimate revenue. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining analytical data facets, designing and executing data science analyses, and building and delivering presentations of your findings to the business. You will be at the intersection of data and business, partnering closely with other analysts and data owners as well as senior leaders within the Sales organization whose strategy will be informed by your findings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, create, and maintain business metrics relevant for analysis
  • Develop models to understand the top drivers of sales performance and quantify their impact
  • Build presentations and dashboards to communicate analysis findings to business stakeholders
  • Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and generate hypotheses for future analysis
  • Measure the attributable revenue impact of key sales initiatives
  • Proactively recommend analyses and strategic changes based on your data findings

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications
    • 3+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, analytics, engineering, or other technical roles
    • 1+ years of experience building statistical models
    • 1+ years of experience with SQL, Python, or other data analytics/data science languages
    • Bachelors degree in Math, Computer Science, Economics, Business, Engineering or other quantitative fields, OR equivalent experience

      Preferred Qualifications

      • 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, analytics, engineering, or other technical roles
      • Undergraduate degree in a technical field (science, math, engineering, computer science, etc.)
      • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI is a plu
      • Prior experience working closely with sales organizations
      • Exceptional ability and passion for solving challenging, high-impact business problems
      • Strong written communication
      • Strong self-motivation and autonomy--knowing what should be done next without extensive guidance
