About the Team

DoorDash is looking for a Senior Associate to join the Merchant team to help scope, pilot and scale the next generation of DoorDash's Merchant products. You will report to the Manager, Merchant Strategy & Operations. You'll work with our sales, partner management, operations, product, engineering and analytics teams to help build strategies that introduce new products to create additional value for our existing partners by helping them operate quickly.

On the Merchant Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to have best-in class restaurant selection, build services for our merchants to grow their business, and help our partners on the platform. We are the conduit between our sales and product teams by building go-to-market strategies for product plans and features, while building the product roadmap based on the needs of our partners.


About the Role

As a New Merchant Programs Senior Associate, you'll help spin up new merchant bets from end-to-end and collaborate to build and operationalize plans, collect insights, and build the foundation for our new ideas to grow. This will include scoping the potential market opportunity, defining the stages and success metrics for our pilots and developing playbooks to grow products that can achieve product-market fit. This role is your chance to wear many different hats from marketing, sales, support, product, analytics and more.

  • Strategize – Set the strategy for adoption at the product level, including which merchants segments to target and how to increase engagement
  • Implement – Launch new product plans to help our partners grow and operate quickly

  • Experiment – Use data to implement tests on everything from adoption to optimization
  • Influence – Work with our Merchant Product, Engineering, Operations and Sales teams to land projects

  • You have 2+ years of experience in investment banking / management consulting / strategy / business development / operations / technology / banking or related experience; high-growth or early-stage startup experience
  • You have experience leading projects, working with teams, and succeeding in a team environment
  • You have excellent Excel skills (can perform complex functions) ; SQL knowledge a bonus
  • You can motivate people at all levels across a variety of job responsibilities You can translate high-level goals into applicable plans
