About the Role

As the Sr. People Processes Lead on the People Strategy & Operations team you will be the operational expert on employee lifecycle processes. You will improve workflows, improve organizational effectiveness, reduce costs, and seek every opportunity to automate processes. With a lens for efficiency and end-user experience, you will use your superb project management skills to refine complex processes, and align teams to meet those processes.

You will report to the Head of People Services. This role is based in San Francisco, but we are considering candidates across the U.S. in cities where DoorDash has physical office locations, provided they are open to returning to an office and to traveling 5-10% after COVID-19 restrictions are removed. DoorDash employees are working remotely through the end of 2021.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to improve productivity and improve efficiency in the People Team
  • Manage People Operations projects from requirements gathering, project plan creation and management, coordination with teams to ensure milestones are met on time and in scope. Projects will focus specifically on operationalizing complex processes
  • Partner with HR Tech team to implement identified automation opportunities for HR processes
  • Conduct quarterly audit of HR processes to ensure compliance, and a positive customer experience
  • Administer SOPs and process maps to reflect any changes and work with the business process owners
  • Administer multiple HR policies and help develop new policies and updates to guidelines
  • Be the primary escalation point to help solve both daily and more complex problems related to HR processes
  • Be the contact for IT, Finance, Payroll, and broader People teams for any process related inquiries and escalations

  • You succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • You have at least 5+ years or equivalent experience in program management roles at high-growth consumer or enterprise technology companies"
  • You understand HR systems (i.e. Greenhouse, Workday) and how they can be used to improve workflows
  • You understand the employee lifecycle from pre-hire stage, to onboarding and offboarding
