About the Team

The Business Systems Transformation and Acceleration organization enables the productivity of our sales and go-to-market organizations through intelligent workflows, reliable data and scalable systems. We partner with groups across the company including Product, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Analytics to build essential systems and allow the business to move faster. This team builds the engine and foundation for DoorDash to achieve the best selection for our platform and grow revenues across our products.

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Operations and Governance lead, reporting to our Director, Business Systems Transformation & Acceleration, who will be a member of DoorDash's Business Transformation and Acceleration (BTA) group. Your mission will be to transform and manage our data so that it is meaningful for our users, and is available for insights and essential processes. You will work with our BTA, Product Management, Business Applications and Sales Strategy & Operations teams to scope the projects you work on, serving as the business process and systems expert on Master Data management, Data operations and Data governance (hygiene, quality, and enrichment). You will use Tableau, Snowflake, Salesforce, SQL, and Google productivity tools to work through various projects.

  • Determine data elements and establish procedures that allow successful collection and accuracy of our essential data
  • Ensure DoorDash maintains a cohesive view of our Go-To-Market Merchants and businesses for use in targeting, territory management, and contracting while continuing fast growth
  • Ensure tools like Salesforce support our local and enterprise segments across products, and personas
  • Improve the 360-degree view of our Merchants and businesses to bring insights to our teams from Marketing to Support.
  • Work with DoorDash's Internal groups to define and implement data governance and operations frameworks
  • Manage and develop a team focused on data operations, data quality measurement and reporting, supporting cleanliness, and ad-hoc needs at the speed of the business
  • Review the processes and workflows needed for strengthening data management and help identify and clean data
  • Build reporting and monitoring of our most essential data and show how projects are driving step change improvement in those numbers

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with relational databases, Master Data, Data Governance, Data operations, and Data quality measurement
  • Proficient in business process analysis, and data model, process flow and functional architecture documentation
  • Proficient in Salesforce structure including Account, Lead, Contact, and territory models
  • Experience with data migration, and ETL, SQL, and Data profiling
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports and scaling through vendor resources
  • You get excited about data models, use cases, ERD's and translating them to business and technology partners
  • When you are handed a mess, you enjoy and take pride in creating organization
  • You're excited about creating a process or driving support for a change even when it's outside your direct ownership.
  • You know how to balance speed and while driving towards a strategic long-term roadmap.
  • You have the determination to initiate and complete projects
