We consider businesses our customers on Pinterest, as they play a big role in providing the content that helps people discover and save the things our Pinners love. We're looking for a motivated, customer-obsessed Community Engagement Manager to help oversee the development and management of Pinterest's online community of advertisers, creators and merchants. In this role, you will be an integral part ensuring our customers are more successful on the Pinterest platform in the right ways that support a positive, nourishing and actionable user experience.

As the Community Engagement Manager, you'll be responsible for primary communication with our community and act as the liaison between Pinterest and our customers. You will be an advocate and champion for members of the community and the voice of the brand. You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across Sales, Product, Marketing and Creator teams to drive the execution of key program initiatives and serve as the face and voice of the brand in the community. What you'll do:

  • Build trust and develop deep relationships with our community of advertisers, merchants and creators
  • Leverage data and key insights to improve the community and product experience
  • Partner closely with the Community Program Manager to drive awareness of the platform, execute on member engagement initiatives (superuser and evangelist programs) and effectively measure the value and success of those programs
  • Collaborate with members of our support, product operations, sales, creator and marketing teams to ensure alignment with community content and scaled communications
  • Help oversee the global community editorial calendar and develop engaging content for all our community customers
  • Partner with marketplace leadership to activate and leverage the community to support company goals

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in community management, customer support, or related fields
  • Strong experience building, fostering and managing communities -- familiarity with community platforms and tools
  • Passionate about building relationships, on and offline
  • Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to comfortably interact and influence cross-functional teams across the organization
  • A creative problem-solver. Someone not afraid to test the waters!
  • An energetic, self-starter who values empathy and authenticity when working with customers
  • Passion for Pinterest's mission, supporting businesses and improving the product and customer experience
  • You're motivated to drive changes that improve the customer experience and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience with Zendesk and JIRA; experience working in project management tools like Asana; knowledge of e-commerce, online advertising or the creator space; experience working with rewards and incentives programs is a HUGE plus
