This includes a shift to virtual work for the majority of our lawyers and staff. This role will likely start virtually while the firm continues to evaluate the situation.

The Global Partner Integration Manager will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance. As a Global Partner Integration Manager at Latham, you will be a member of the Firm's centralized Partner Recruiting & Integration team and will be responsible for overseeing initiatives relating to the integration of each lateral partner into the partnership of the Firm, working with a broad range of constituencies to ensure that each lateral partner receives the resources and support needed to fully, effectively, and expeditiously becomes a productive member of the partnership. In furtherance of this objective and under the direction of the Director of Partner Recruiting & Integration, you will work closely with other members of the Partner Recruiting & Integration team and other business services departments to ensure that each lateral partner is supported and equipped to participate fully and actively as a member of the partnership and the Firm, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:

  • Working closely with the Director of Partner Recruiting & Integration, and overseeing the integration planning process and the development of an integration strategy for each lateral partner in collaboration with various business services departments and members of leadership
  • Developing a strong understanding of the strategic opportunity posed by each incoming lateral partner and coordinating with colleagues on other business services teams to ensure that support is robust, yet not duplicative
  • Working closely with the Global Partner Recruiting Manager - Research & Analysis and other members of the Partner Recruiting & Integration team to ensure that relevant information derived from an incoming lateral partner's recruiting process is distributed to the applicable business services teams in a timely fashion prior to the lateral partner's arrival
  • Collaborating with other members of the Partner Recruiting & Integration team; overseeing the onboarding of each lateral partner
  • Supporting business services teams and sponsoring partners by serving as a point of reference and subject matter expert relating to the Firm's lateral partner arrival and onboarding processes
  • Providing ongoing support to lateral partners during the first eighteen months following each partner's arrival, ensuring that each lateral partner is aware of and utilizing all appropriate resources available for their practice development
  • Assisting lateral partners in building relationships with those partners and administrative staff who can be helpful to the lateral partner's integration within the Firm and within appropriate prospective and existing client relationships
  • Collaborating with office, department, and practice group leadership regarding initiatives relating to lateral partner integration
  • Completing special projects as needed
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for colleagues

As a Global Partner Integration Manager, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Manager must have extensive knowledge of the Firm's practices and global platform, or the ability to develop such knowledge. The ideal candidate should possess superior interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and trust with lawyers and staff at all organizational levels, as well as strong project management skills.

A Bachelor's degree is required. A J.D. is desired. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a legal or a professional services environment is desired.
