Team

Our Product & Program Management teams under the Commerce Experiences pillar in Marketing work on some of the most impactful and challenging problems in the Software industry. We are a highly collaborative cross-border group that operates on the edge between Engineering and the business and helps to design solutions from concept to launch - all while focusing on and advocating for what's best for our customers. We work closely with Engineering and Design to create some of the most innovative never-been-done-before products. We partner with the Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to bring the product to market.

Position

The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for managing the scope, impact, and complexity of programs through all phases of the product life cycle. This role will manage interdependencies and integrations across projects, teams, and stakeholders. This position will work in conjunction with Product Management, Customer Experience, and Engineering to ensure the delivery of our roadmap, and deliver the underlying platform systems and applications necessary to support continued system scale, a broadening product portfolio, the basis for new innovative product capabilities, and improve operational efficiencies related to these industries. This position's objectives will be directly linked to business metrics such as revenue, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

This position reports to the Lead Program Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end delivery and sustainability of Commerce solutions
  • Work with Technical Leads on Engineering design decisions, and contribute to the department design reviews to ensure we continue to raise our technical standards
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, UX, IX, Marketing, Sales, Support, Legal, Finance, and IT to deliver best in-class experience for our customers
  • Empower scrum teams to plan, execute and deliver scope commitments
  • Keep leadership and business teams updated on project timelines and results
  • Partner with Product Manager to define end to end launch plan ensuring Design, Research, IX, Marketing, Support, Legal, Finance dependencies are represented
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering leads to facilitate continuous roadmap planning
  • Define communication plan for programs
  • Lead communication within the team, to stakeholders at cross-functional meetings
  • Ensure adherence to PLC and SDLC while maintaining visibility to Release Management
  • Provide coaching to teams on Agile/SCRUM best practices to maximize value and efficiency
  • Identify and track risks to project delivery and overall program schedule
  • Work with cross-team leadership to conduct LOE estimation and resource planning
  • Evaluate existing processes and procedures. Make recommendations and drive process improvement and adoption of best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct change management efforts of moderate complexity impacting development teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years leading cross-functional, global programs
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet
  • Direct experience using iterative or Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering eCommerce, preferably for domestic and international markets
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product Management, Design, Research, Engineering, IT, Operations, Legal, Security, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support
  • Solid understanding of Commerce foundational concepts
  • Strong and innovative approach to problem solving and delivering solutions
  • Skilled at dealing with ambiguity in a rapidly growing and changing environment
  • Ability to lead without authority to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Ability to develop strong cross-team relationships and partnerships
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (influencer)
  • Confident in working with Executive team members
  • Experience in a company that has scale or experience in both small and large software development organizations.
