THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Marketing Automation Lead sits at the intersection of Marketing, Product, Data and Finance. This critical thinker will join the organization during a crucial period of growth, and will design automated processes and A/B tests to help StubHub scale efficiently. We plan to lean on machines and data to help us capture the enormous opportunity ahead. The position requires a unique blend of technical skills across marketing platforms and relational databases, along with an ability to communicate value and design to business and technical stakeholders.

This is a fast-paced role with a very high bar for expertise in data-driven marketing (search, social, SQL proficiency all preferred). Above all you should be passionate about working with large data sets to answer business questions and drive growth. We geek out over numbers and tech, and we are looking for a like-minded powerhouse who is equally excited about marketing funnel analysis as a return to concerts, festivals, Broadway, and live sports!

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver StubHub's innovation & testing roadmap to improve operational efficiency of the growth marketing program. Build processes, tools, and dynamic marketing treatments that drive lift in omni-channel efficiency:

  • Automate scalable customer-facing communications across paid and owned channels, including visual media, collaborating with peers in engineering & marketing.

  • Set clear KPIs & business impact targets for new treatments, tests or automation work in collaboration with marketing, analytics and finance leadership.

  • Build scalable automated solutions to stay ahead of the competition, closely monitoring outside-in threats and opportunities to guide the short-and-long term innovation roadmap.

  • Respond to rapid changes in the event landscape and marketplace to capture fans in peak-purchase-intent moments.

  • Evaluate & ingest new datasets that improve our predictive and reactive automated advertising capabilities.

  • Highlight technical pitfalls and become the driving force behind building a reliable foundation of marketing tech and process that will scale effectively

  • Work with engineering to deliver new features and enhancements to bidding models, rules, and automatic asset generation to improve overall Marketing delivery toward objectives and key results.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You have:

  • 3+ years relevant digital marketing experience, with active / hands-on experience automating ad-buying in paid search or paid social at scale

  • Working proficiency in SQL (all applicants take our basic online assessment)

  • Clear communication experience with both technical and business-minded audiences

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with previous experience structuring and performing sophisticated analysis or automating complex processes in the digital marketing space to drive efficient growth

  • Proven track record of learning quickly on the job in a dynamic, fast paced team environment

  • Deep understanding of paid digital channel optimization and market dynamics driving cost and returns

  • Familiarity with core performance marketing platforms, automated bidding tools and other marketing analytics tools, including any of:
  • Google AdWords, Bing Ads, SearchAds360, Facebook Business Manager, Smartly, Braze, Apple Search Ads, Pinterest, Snap, YouTube, Amazon

  • Passion for live events - sports/concert/entertainment enthusiast a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Javascript, Python, and/or R: desire to learn is key

  • Master's degree in analytical or technical field, e.g. Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Data Science/Analytics, MBA (or equivalent work experience in an e-commerce or similar technical environment).
