JOB TITLE: Program AssistantCLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Exempt, non-union
LOCATION: 525 5th Street, San Francisco, CA 94107SUPERVISOR: Director of Homeless ServicesBENEFITS: DOE. Full medical (Kaiser), voluntary dental/vision, 403b retirement SUMMARY:The Program Assistant supports the Multi-Service Center South Management and Supportive Service Staff with new hires, timecard changes, written communications, data entry and client resource documents. This position supports the chronically homeless men and women at Site D. The position will provide support in capturing data regarding the clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist staff with personnel paperwork, new hire onboarding, process bi-weekly timecards using ADP Workforce Now. Preparation of account payable invoice forms for Admin Office invoice payment.
• Assist with developing and maintaining informational resources for shelter guests, including current housing listings.
• Maintain data on current clients and exiting clients.
• Provide basic information on One System for our new guests including: Rules and regulations, check-in and bed information, clinic information, laundry, etc.
• Maintain and enter statistical data for the homeless shelter guests.
• Maintain office supplies, organize supplies and keep inventory of supplies
• Provide administrative support to the Program Management team
• Provide resources to shelter clients upon request.
• Provide written and verbal translation as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  QUALIFICATIONS:
  • AA degree in business management or related field. Equivalent work experience will be accepted with HS diploma or GED.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Proficient data entry skills and ability to use windows based computer.
  • Ability to deliver professional verbal and written communication.
  • Above average proficiency creating documents using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and remain composed and professional.
  • Comfort working around a diverse community including LGBTQQ, mental illness and varying ethnicities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to open, direct, and non-violent communication.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work both independently and cooperatively.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries with guests, volunteers and staff.
