REMOTE UNDERWRITER
JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Underwrite all conventional and high balance loans from initial underwrite to Approval / CTC (Clear To Close)
• Close loans using the Encompass software
• Review all mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of each loan
• Work with compliance officers to ensure Federal, State, and local compliance of all mortgage and loan materials
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with The Loan Store's culture and values--
  IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
  • Must have experience working with Encompass mortgage software
  • Solid knowledge of mortgage industry and loan process, from origination to close
  • Demonstrate computer skills, including proficiency with basic automated mortgage systems
  • Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations including Home Mortgage Disclosure Act
  • Knowledge of State and Federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive, customer and proprietary information
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work with, collaborate and respectfully communicate with The Loan Store team members--
