Job Description:

Shaper is developing a revolutionary line of computer-augmented power tools, starting with a handheld CNC router called Origin. We're looking for a Visual / UX Designer to evolve and refine the presentation of our products and services, and help us reach new audiences in North America and Europe. As a Visual / UX Designer at Shaper, you'll be focused on presenting our products and services to customers via our marketing channels. You'll underpin your design decisions with a solid understanding of the motivations and needs of our users. You'll work closely with the Marketing Lead to execute well refined solutions that build on and bring clarity to the Shaper Tools brand and offerings. The strategic imperative of the role is to develop our marketing website into a highly effective communication and sales channel for our brand, products, and services. You'll also need to ensure that the marketing activities which drive traffic to our website are considered as part of the overall user experience, creating a visually cohesive story for our customers. Responsibilities

• Own and constantly refine the visual design and presentation of the Shaper marketing website in the USA and Europe.
• Plan and refine end-to-end customer experience for our marketing channels.
• Track and analyse customer behaviours and optimise the marketing website for increased engagement and conversion.
• Work with stakeholders to design marketing campaigns which include print, email, website and POS touchpoints.
• Work with senior stakeholders to evolve the Shaper Tools brand and visual identity across our marketing channels.
• Coordinate with other designers and Shaper hardware/software engineers to ensure that Shaper's brand identity and user experience is consistent across our digital and physical footprints.
• Produce advertising materials (both print and digital) which resonate with our target audience(s) in support of our multi channel sales approach.
• Co-ordinate photo / video shoots and craft beautiful content for our marketing channels.--
• Present and articulate to key stakeholders in marketing, product, design, and engineering, and the leadership team. Skills
  • Passion for developing and maintaining design systems / standards that create huge impact through simple solutions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail. You are a master of craft, typography, composition, imagery, iconography and color.
  • Experience working with B2C and B2B e-commerce brands.
  • Experience identifying and responding to customer insights as part of your design process using tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar.
  • Able to work off incomplete briefs. You don't need every tiny detail to be spelled out in order to make progress.
  • Experience working quickly and efficiently in a fast paced startup environment. You have a bias toward action and execution. You get nervous if you're not sketching concepts, iterating on existing designs, tweaking flows or polishing pixel perfect mockups. We're looking for someone who prefers to share X10 scrappy concepts rather than X1 perfectly refined concept!
  • Able to make confident design decisions, and be smart and persuasive in bringing others with you.
  • You have experience evolving and maintaining brand architecture for product and service ecosystems.
  • Master of design tools. You are fluent with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, After Effects and interactive prototyping tools.
