Medstaff National Medical Staffing is recruiting physicians for a government agency located in San Francisco, California. After words a work from home request will be considered oWork from home after 1 year on the contract oThe contractor shall perform an independent review of all cases provided by the government agency. oThe purpose of these reviews is to either determine the accuracy of the medical assessment, or provide a medical assessment. The contractor shall not determine the accuracy of a medical assessment if he/she provided the initial medical assessment or determined the accuracy of the assessment at the initial level. oWhen performing independent case reviews, the contractor shall review medical and non-medical evidence of record; Identify and interpret medical records, applying the government agencys disability policies and procedures; Compose medical assessments in a professional manner, in a formal tone (third person), free of jokes, personal anecdotes, emotion, biases, prejudices or colloquial expressions; oWrite to convey their professional medical judgment in a clear and concise manner: Consult with staff and others (e.g., other MCs, medical providers) as needed for the review of the case; Record findings in the agency electronic process systems as specified by the government agencys case review policies and procedures; Attend required meetings, briefings, and workgroups necessary to perform independent case reviews (e.g., policy updates, procedural changes) or to discuss administrative issues related to the BPA; Provide a satisfactory written assessment, free of spelling and grammatical errors, that can be utilized by others in the disability program; and If necessary, correct any case reviews returned to the contractor because of the quality control processoIf necessary, correct any case reviews returned to the contractor; Request additional information only when the evidence in file is insufficient to assess in accordance with the government agencys disability policies and procedures. oReport suspected fraud identified in the course of the medical assessment.
