As Scratch's Head of Compliance, you will be a crucial member of Scratch's legal and compliance team. We're looking for someone who will share in our mission of changing the way consumers experience debt, and who will develop and manage Scratch's internal risk, compliance and security program, be the company's trusted "go-to" for compliance matters, develop innovative ways, including technological solutions, to ensure Scratch remains compliant each time, every time and enjoy the challenge of navigating a complex and ever changing regulatory landscape. In this role, you will:

• Develop, implement, manage and continuously improve all aspects of Scratch's risk, compliance and security program, including Scratch's training programs, policies and procedures, vendor management, audits and risk assessments, and license management
• Manage and coordinate Scratch's external audits and examinations, including those conducted by external third parties (for example, SOC 2 audit and pen tests) and by Scratch's counterparties (for example, its partner lenders)
• Be across and understand all aspects of our business and remain constantly apprised of the regulatory framework we operate in--
• Develop and implement innovative ways to approach, and where appropriate automate, compliance processes to ensure we are compliant each time, every time
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable technological solutions, working closely with our product and engineering teams--
• Be the trusted go-to for compliance support and issue resolution for our cross-functional teams You may be an amazing fit if you have the following:
  • 5+ years of relevant compliance and risk management experience - additional experience in information security a plus, but not required
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Proven experience developing, implementing and managing a risk and compliance management program - including training programs, vendor management, drafting and managing policies and procedures, and facilitating audits and risk assessments
  • Proven experience managing and coordinating external audits and examinations (for example, SOC 2, pen tests and third party due diligence processes)--
  • A track record for being highly accountable and driven, and enthusiastic about rolling up your sleeves and sometimes, building something from scratch (no pun intended!)
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, while still having the ability to see the big picture
  • Clear and concise communication skills to effectively collaborate with both internal and external teams
  • Excellent organization and project management skills, and the ability to independently prioritize multiple simultaneous projects with different deadlines
