Job Description - House Counsel (349867) Job Description House Counsel ( Job Number: 349867 ) Description House Counsel Chubb's California House Counsel firm, Armijo, Morovati & Shields, is seeking an experienced and skilled California litigator for the position of Litigation Attorney. The attorney will defend a caseload of approximately 45-55 general liability cases involving personal injury, premises liability, products liability, and auto cases throughout Southern California in state and federal court venues. Licensed to practice before California's State and Federal Courts and possessing 10+ years experience.Job -Requirements:The successful candidate must be an attorney licensed to practice before California's State and Federal -Courts, should possess 7 + years of demonstrated success in litigating at trial on wide range of California tort matters, and should possess the professional stature and business acumen needed to be a productive member of the firm. Qualifications - External

• Enthusiasm and aptitude for trying cases to a jury, with demonstrated successful trial experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of California State and Federal Court procedural law, pleading, discovery, motion practice and pretrial techniques and strategies
• Advanced oral and written advocacy skills, with a demonstrated track record of summary judgment and/or appellate success
• Cutting edge knowledge of the substantive law applicable to California tort defense litigation, with analytical skills needed to address complex legal issues.
• Proficiency in effectively and strategically communicating with clients, Claim Department customers and law firm colleagues regarding litigated matters.
• Demonstrated, deeply- ingrained enthusiasm and skills necessary to provide excellent customer service to clients, claim examiners, internal customers within firm
• The technological savvy to thrive as a litigator in a digital environment
• Strong team player willing to work effectively with others, at all levels and to step outside a defined role where required to advance the firm's business
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and carefully in a high-volume environment
