  • Opportunity to grow as a new marketer!Job DetailsJob descriptionThis position works collaboratively with the firm s Marketing & Business Development Director, firm leadership, and the firm s lawyers on key projects to ensure high-quality execution of initiatives including, but not limited to: marketing, business development, client engagement, media relations, social media, diversity reporting, and social events. Position Responsibilities:Marketing Support
    • Drafts, edits, and proofs marketing collateral materials including web content, social media posts, press releases/announcements, event invitations, lawyer biographies, and firm advertisements.
    • Enters new litigation matters into the web-based database, updates descriptions for use in pitch materials and on the firm website. Supports matters database research.
    • Supports Marketing & Business Development Director on media relations initiatives in conjunction with the firm s external PR agency.
    • Assists with firm events: drafting and creating invitations, collateral materials, and nametags, researching and booking venues or restaurants, handling RSVPs, and other logistical communications. Staffing an event as needed.
    • Coordinates the compilation and submission of awards materials. May edit/update past submissions for current awards opportunities.
    • Tracks activity and documents the success of all relevant business development projects and marketing initiatives.
    • Tracks and submits expenses.
    • Works with attorneys and secretaries in maintaining firm contacts lists.
    • Assists with special projects, for example, firm videos, holiday gift orders, intranet or website design and execution projects, annual virtual CLE workshop, and advanced graphic design projects.Required Skills and Experience:
      • BS or BA degree required, focus on business, marketing, communications, legal, journalism or a related field, are a plus.
      • The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working in marketing, business development, client services, or communications role at a law firm or similar professional services firm. The role could be redefined as an entry-level/assistant position for the right individual.
      • The position is a hybrid role, working from our San Francisco office three days per week, and working from home two days per week.
      • Adept at using Microsoft Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel. And open to training on firm-specific programs: Canva, ConstantContact, LexMachina, iManage, etc.
      • Capable of keeping confidential all information, observations, or viewpoints regarding firm business matters.
      • Occasional overtime staffing required for client-facing events.Required Soft Skills:
        • Ability to multitask competently and pay close attention to details.
        • Ability to take ownership and work independently as needed.
        • Ability to accept direction and constructive feedback.
        • A team player with solid interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
