Job Description:
We are seeking a Embedded Software Development Engineer with
expertise in connectivity and networking technologies for embedded
systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
WiFi, Ethernet, and LTE protocols, and demonstrated ability to
design and implement network managers capable of seamless interface
switching. You should possess deep technical knowledge of WiFi
standards (802.11), control plane and data plane architectures, and
strong debugging skills to diagnose and resolve complex
system-level issues. This role requires excellent written and
verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively across distributed engineering teams in multiple
geographies. Key job responsibilities • Design and architect
scalable network management systems and connectivity solutions for
WiFi, Ethernet, and LTE across Ring's embedded device portfolio •
Own end-to-end debugging and resolution of critical networking
issues affecting customer experience, including setup failures,
connectivity problems, video streaming quality, and performance
degradation • Drive technical decisions and implement
high-performance, resource-efficient networking solutions for both
RTOS and Linux-based embedded systems at scale • Lead design and
code reviews, establishing best practices and technical standards
for networking components across multiple product lines • Mentor
and grow junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews,
and knowledge sharing, raising the bar for the team • Demonstrate
customer obsession by identifying and proactively addressing
systemic networking issues that impact device reliability and user
satisfaction • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware,
cloud, mobile, product) to define requirements, influence
architecture, and deliver integrated connectivity solutions • Drive
operational excellence by implementing monitoring, metrics, and
diagnostic tools that improve system observability and reduce
time-to-resolution - 3 years of non-internship professional
software development experience - 2 years of non-internship design
or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new
and existing systems experience - 1 years of Object Oriented Design
experience - Experience programming with at least one software
programming language - 3 years of full software development life
cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control
management, build processes, testing, and operations experience -
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is an

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
