Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Array Labs builds advanced radar
systems to help humanity understand and respond to changes across
the physical world. We’re launching a coordinated fleet of radar
satellites to create a high-resolution 3D map of the Earth –
updated in real time – enabling faster, smarter decision-making for
government and commercial organizations supporting disaster
response, infrastructure resilience, and mission-critical
geopolitical intelligence. We design and build our satellites
end-to-end, producing the world’s most advanced earth observation
satellites. Our fleet will deliver unprecedented levels of
accuracy, coverage, and responsiveness to power critical insights
precisely where they’re needed most. We are seeking a Signal
Processing Engineer to join our team and build the core algorithms
that make this transformation possible. This is a unique
opportunity to have a foundational impact on a first-of-its-kind
system. As part of our quickly growing engineering team, you will
play a critical role in the design of the world’s most advanced
radar satellite constellation—one that will significantly improve
humanity’s ability to rapidly and comprehensively understand our
changing planet. Responsibilities: Design, model, and implement
novel digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for our
next-generation radar systems. Focus on critical areas such as
pulse compression, Doppler processing, interference mitigation, and
advanced filtering techniques to maximize signal quality.
Collaborate closely with RF, FPGA, and software engineers to ensure
algorithms are robust, efficient, and implementable in a real-time
environment. Develop high-fidelity simulations in MATLAB or Python
to validate algorithm performance against theoretical limits and
system requirements. Analyze and characterize system performance
using both simulated and real-world data, paying close attention to
metrics like Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), resolution, and ambiguity
functions. Stay current with the latest advancements in signal
processing and radar technology to continuously innovate and
improve our capabilities. Basic Qualifications: BS or MS in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related
technical field. 3 years of hands-on experience in digital signal
processing. Demonstrated expertise in Digital Signal Processing
(DSP) fundamentals (e.g., Fourier analysis, digital filter design,
sampling theory, estimation theory). Proficiency in MATLAB or
Python (with libraries like NumPy, SciPy) for algorithm
development, modeling, and simulation. Preferred Skills and
Experience: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a
related field with a focus on signal processing. A strong
background in optimal and adaptive filter design (e.g., Wiener,
Kalman), statistical signal processing Familiarity with radar
signal processing concepts (e.g., matched filtering, stretch
processing, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging). Experience
with implementing computationally intensive algorithms in C++ or on
hardware platforms (FPGA, GPU). Experience with version control
systems like Git and modern software development practices. A
creative and analytical mindset, with a proven ability to solve
complex, open-ended problems from first principles. ITAR
