Associate Director - Western US Field Services - $10,000 Hiring Bonus

Job Description:

As an Associate Director of the US West Area field service team you will be critical to the ongoing success of Bio- Rad customers in your organizations area. You will work very closely with the Regional Service Managers to ensuring a fantastic onsite experience for our customers. This may include working closely to develop critical plans for hiring or process improvement. You will work side by side with Global Service Operations and the AMS Customer Care Enablement PM to implement critical projects that will improve the day-to-day work of your teams members. You will also get to meet customer face-to-face on an ongoing basis to learn how Bio-Rad can continue to enable an industry leading experience.How You'll Make An Impact:


  • Leads organization covering the West Area of the US consisting of 75+ people including; Regional Service Managers, Service Team Leads and Field Service Engineers.
  • Manages West Field Service P&L with responsibility of service revenue and costs.
  • Accountable for quarterly targets and meeting budgets. Develops quarterly forecasts and holds QBRs.
  • Sets organization vision and strategic plans in line with AMS Customer Care strategy.
  • Develops key plans to drive an improved customer experience across roles and teams with a focus on response time improvement and reduced administrative burden to field teams.
  • Develops organization rigor and a culture of continuous improvement via setting clear goals, key performance indicators and driving a process improvement mindset.
  • Works with the AMS Customer Care Enablement Program Manager to delivery critical LEAN process improvements, leading change management through the organization. Leads critical cross functional programs and Core Teams to deliver cost savings and field service process improvements.
  • Analyzes, develops and implements key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Creates critical strategic plans for Top 20 customers including service revenue goals, experience improvement goals, achieves alignment with sales and implements.
  • Delivers critical outcomes from Commercial Excellence including; rolling out field service dispatching, response time improvements and increase service contract revenue.
  • Lead, mentor, development, and build a world-class Field Service Team, by partnering with leaders and HR to develop in critical team leadership skill development, succession planning and ensuring organization has person development plans for employees.
  • Ensures organization supports and adheres to quality documentation and processes.
  • Creates an environment focused on individual authenticity, creativity and solutions.
    What You Bring:

    • Bachelors of Arts, Bachelors of Science or equivalent experience required.
    • 10+ years experience running a large Field Service organization (50+ people).
    • 3+ years experience managing first line managers.
    • 3+ years experience managing a P&L.
    • Strong ability to create organization long term plans and roadmap for success with a focus on strategy and execution.
    • 3+ years LEAN / Six-Sigma or other Process Improvement experience, with an emphasis on being able to work with teams to implement critical solutions to difficult and multifaceted problems.
      Soft Skills Required:

      • Ability to lead through integrity, respect and motivation.
      • Strong listening skills, with an ability to then summarize critical points.
      • Ability to create relationships across the matrix.
      • Creates an environment focused on individual authencity, creativity and solutions.
      • Experience with story telling through presentations.
        This position is eligible for a $10,000 HIRING BONUS: Offered for a limited time only. Applicable to specific positions as labeled. Recipients must be employed at the time of payout. Payout after 30 days of employment with Bio-Rad. Offered to direct hires only. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
