This position can be remote or remote/hybrid at one of our 30+ offices across the US. Today, our solutions are mainly focused on onsite solar and storage but our roadmap includes offsite solar, community solar, in front of the meter storage, VPPAs, microgrids/resiliency, carbon offsets, REC trading, sustainable solutions and electric vehicle infrastructure. Anything we can do to help solve customer needs or drive value from our unparalleled holdings is in play. Prologis is currently ranked #3 for onsite solar among US corporations and is actively engaged in solar, storage and EV projects in over 11 countries. You will play a meaningful role as part of a top-notch team of Global Energy professionals who are driving value for Prologis as we grow from -300MW to over 600MW on our buildings by 2025. This role requires experience working with fortune 500 customers; assessing and evaluating energy projects, customer presentations, selling, negotiating, market evaluation, contract review and, ultimately, ensuring we meet our sales goals while providing solutions that matter to our customers. This position offers an unparalleled ability to build the largest portfolio of commercial energy assets globally. What's needed in order to do that:Be the driving force and energy program solutions owner with assigned global accounts.Core contributor to all aspects of the design and creation of Prologis energy-related real estate products and servicesStrong relationship builder and managerMaintain the accuracy of pipeline data within Salesforce.comCreate content including proposals, custom slides, market & utility level informationAssist or drive transactions by working with our field team and external contractors to schedule site assessments, structural reviews, customer meetings and presentationsInterface and develop strong working relationships with various regional internal and external partners to ensure the Energy team is viewed as a responsive team that brings value to our real estate businessEnsure customer satisfaction by ensuring proper coordination and communication takes placeCoordinate with legal, as needed, to assist with contract negotiations and to resolve programmatic needs/requirementsInnovative mindset and ability to create portfolio level solutions meeting customer needsTell us if you're ready.Minimum 5 years' experience in sales or sales management ideally within a business to business environment and > 2 years in commercial renewable solution sales with history of successfully meeting quotaBachelor's degreeProven consultative Sales Skills, professional sales training a plusKnowledge of and experience with selling to F500 companies including hierarchies, decision making process and network of key playersUnderstanding of the interplay between system design, cost, project economics, financed pricing and ability to run and use financial modelsComfortable prospecting and presenting to executives, owners, CEOs and board membersAbility to develop projects from inception to executed contractA general understanding of Industrial Real Estate and selling 500kw+ systems a plus.Positive, innovative and collaborative attitude, strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to "get the deal done"Knowledge of utility tariffs & programs, power purchase agreements, distributed solar, storage, EV and general renewable energyDemonstrated ability to innovate and get creative to develop executable projectsA history of collaboration, problem solving and communication that drives overall team successStrong written and verbal communication skills especially in relation to customer interactionExperience with Salesforce and MS Excel modeling strongly desired.
