developers and SREs approach application and cloud security! This
full-stack product team is inventing a fresh take on DevSecOps to
help New Relic's hundreds of thousands of users build and operate
more secure software!Your Opportunity In this role, you will design
and engineer streaming systems to detect security vulnerabilities
and threats in the petabytes of telemetry that we collect each day.
Additionally, you will work with other teams to identify
improvements in our proprietary and open source agents and
integrations to increase the effectiveness of your analytics. As
part of the full-ownership product team, you'll have the
opportunity to shape the entire product experience and work
directly with customers, product, and design to make this the
product you've always wanted to use.The team is customer-led with a

develop, and operate vulnerability and threat detection
capabilities for the Metric, Event, Log, and Trace (MELT) data and
metadata collected by New Relic's platformLead the technical design
of innovative new AppSec capabilities in our instrumentation
agents, integrations, and analyticsHelp your team grow through
mentoring and skill sharingWork with product managers, designers,
and leadership to plan projects that balance tradeoffs between
rapid delivery and long-term successCollaborate with customers,
other product teams and departments, and partners / open source
communities as neededYour QualificationsMust-have:8+ years software
engineering experienceExperience building security productsHigh
level of emotional intelligence with collaboration and listening
skills that encourage customer-focus, diverse perspectives, and
creative solutionsExperience mentoring other
engineersNice-to-have:Experience with Java/Kotlin, UI development,
ReactExperience building RASP, WAF, IAST, CSPM, or similar
application security technologiesFamiliarity w/ SIEM technologies,
