About the team As a Principal Software Engineer, working on the
Delivery Engineering team, you will be the technical leader driving
the architecture and implementation of the next generation of
developer tools, infrastructure, CICD pipelines, and service
archetypes that enables developers across Zillow Group to take
their code from commit to production safely, sustainably and at
high velocity. Our work has a significant impact in support of

in the world! Evangelize and help lead Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline strategy Architect and
implement CI/CD pipelines to maintain fully automated, secure,
zero-downtime releases Work with the DevEx leadership team to drive
the technical strategy and roadmap for the adoption of new
developer tools and standards Integrate test automation solutions
within the delivery pipelines Identify cultural and process
improvement opportunities Raise the bar on technical excellence and
mentor other engineers Establish relationships with senior
leadership and help drive strategy Collaborate and effectively
communicate with multi-functional teams comprising of business
partners, engineers and product management to produce the best
solutions possible Review toolsets/technologies and provide
suggestions for improvement where needed Participate in scrum,
design, and code review sessions to evaluate and improve where
necessary Be a champion of the DevEx Delivery team, and help gain
adoption across the various teams at Zillow Group This role has

have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from
a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the
Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with
limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a

build, maintain, and operate the tools they use to build and ship
features to our customers. Our team is at the forefront of adopting
new technologies and processes which help developers to deliver
features faster, safer and more sustainably. This role has been

are You are passionate about building high-quality software
products. You enjoy finding new and better ways to deliver quality

excellent communicator with technical teams as well business
leaders. We are looking for someone who has a breadth of experience
using tools and practices that can apply the right solution for
each problem. 8+ years of experience in leading the design and
development of highly available systems at scale A proven track
record as a technical leader with broad multi-functional impact.
You demonstrate expertise in: Modern CICD concepts and
implementations Programming languages like Java, Python,
JavaScript/Node.js or Golang Cloud technologies and providers like
AWS, GCP, or Azure You have experience with: Both greenfield
deployment systems and migrating legacy deployment systems to a
modern, fully-automated CI/CD pipeline Gitlab, Github, Artifactory,
Harness, Codefresh and similar technologies REST and microservices
architecture Infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code
solutions like Terraform Service discovery and service mesh
technologies such as Istio, Linkerd Containerization and Container
orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes Reliability, Monitoring
and AI Ops tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, SumoLogic,
Prometheus, New Relic, DataDog In addition to a competitive base
