Job Description:

We are raising the level of abstraction for programming by multiple orders of magnitude to make it 1000X easier for people to create polished, multi-platform, and assistive products (native + web apps).

We enable people to build software by providing the platform with a formal semantic definition of their product requirements via a web-based GUI using our new high level Domain Specific Language (DSL), which is then compiled into clients and a backend.

We are hiring engineers to lead various systems including:
Auto-generation of React Native UI, derived from our semantic-level DSL for product requirements.
Auto-generation of production backends (including storage, business logic, deployments, ACLs etc), similarly derived as above
An interactive web/React-based "Studio" for people to design apps
ML services such as ranking feeds and recommendations, scheduling notifications etc

Requirements Experience building systems/products end-to-end
We're looking for people that understand all the components of a system and would be either able to build them all or be able to coordinate to have someone else build a component you're less experienced with (e.g. the front-end).
Raw intellectual power
At Sutro we are doing original, complex and ambiguous engineering. Ideal people would have a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical engineering skills.
Interest to become an expert in JavaScript / TypeScript and React / React Native
We have a lot to build in many languages and front-end frameworks, but JavaScript and React will be core to our stack for a long time.
