Job Description:
Duties: Will implement and manage Dell, HP, and Cisco Converged
Infrastructures. Will design, Implement and manage Virtualization and Cloud
technologies. Will work on the ROI/TCO calculation for x86 Infrastructure and
manage capacity and resources of virtual/cloud environments for
Prod/Dev and QA requirements. Will work on IAAS, PAAS and SAAS platform. Will
work as a subject matter expert for Virtual, network and storage
technologies. Will leverage Scripting technologies for automating daily tasks.
Will provide guidance to Network Applications Teams to implement,
maintain, and update applications internal applications. Will troubleshoot
and resolve errors thin network applications, network systems,
operating systems, and database connections. Will provide guidance to
Network Applications team members and oversee the maintenance of
large-scale web farms to maintain business Service Level Agreements. Will
collaborate with business units to deliver products and services according
to scheduled deadlines while coordinating application release
activities into the production environment. Will communicate with IT
departments and management on Network Application Team project requirements.
Will automate system monitoring using standard monitoring tools, and
will proactively upgrade and optimize network application sites and
systems. Will recommend and plan server hardware and software upgrades,
develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs to
meet operational objectives for network applications, and assist
in evaluating, recommending, and will design and implement
improvements to maintain high quality production environments. Will serve as a
resource in the resolution of complex network application problems. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer
Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Information Systems Engineering, or a related field plus 6 years of
experience with system administration, server building, and troubleshooting
including experience setting policies, procedures, network software and
hardware standards, and documentation standards. OR, in the alternative: Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer
Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Information Systems Engineering, or a related field plus 4 years of
experience with system administration, server building, and troubleshooting
including experience setting policies, procedures, network software and
hardware standards, and documentation standards. Special Requirements: 1. Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and managing
x86 converged hardware (Dell, HP, IBM and Cisco), storage (FC, NAS,
CIFS) and network (L2/L3) technologies, Capacity Planning, ROI, and
TCO calculations. 2. Demonstrated expertise in the design and implementation of
VMware suite of products, including managing 500 ESXi nodes and 6000
plus VMs. Expertise in Cloud solutions like IBM SCO, AWS, Azure, GCP,
and container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and
ECS. 3. Demonstrated expertise in Active directory services, and
designing and managing server farms running .NET and COM+ applications for
an E- Commerce system Infrastructure. 4. Demonstrated expertise in a production environment of 300+
servers using Microsoft Windows 200x, SQL Service, Microsoft Clusters,
.NET Platform, and IIS Web Server. 5. Demonstrated expertise utilizing Visual Basic, Windows
batch scripting, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and Chef
Configuration management as well as automation experience in a production
