Job Description:

Essential Functions:Manages human resources programs and policies including staffing, benefits, employee relations, training. Partners with Director of HR providing direction to managers and employees. Prepares and reviews Leave packages for employees, including but not limited to FMLA, PFL, PDL and San Francisco PPLO. Oversees full cycle recruiting- including job posting, screening, interviewing, and completing new hire processes. Provides new hire orientation and prepares onboarding schedules. Oversees compliance of employee files,disciplinary, medical, and other records. Assures that employee files are kept in compliance with Corporate and other state and federal requirements. Collects analytical data and distributes information and trends to Director of HR. Partner with legal and management to ensure Worker's Compensation cases are properly managed, documented, and driven to completion. Develops job descriptions, policies and procedures, and other notifications as directed. Acts as a resource for managers to interpret documents and policy. Investigates potential and stated employee concerns in regard to unfair treatment, misconduct, or harassment. Keeps excellent records, writes follow up reports and "closes the loop" with all parties involved in a timely manner. Partners with payroll to ensure all employee status changes are recorded accurately and resolves pay issues in accordance to state and federal regulations. Works on special projects as assigned by Director of HR, as needed. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Exhibits ability to work independently, creatively, and efficiently. Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills. Exhibits excellent organizational skills, and maintains excellent records and documentation. Establishes a sense of urgency, has excellent follow up, and drives projects to completion in a timely manner. Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with others and interact appropriately. Able to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods. Shows empathetic abilities in dealing with employees and their needs. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management or Human Resources 4 years of relevant experience, construction industry desirable Union environment experience a plus Ability to work Monday- Friday, 7:30 - 4:30 daily Commitment to working longer hours to support a growing organization, as needed.
